Optibase to Show Innovative Digital
Video Streaming Platforms at NAB 2000
Optibase to Host Cisco Systems' IP/TV(R),
MediaSite and Digital Media Solutions in its Booth
LAS VEGAS, April 11 /PRNewswire/ Optibase,
(Nasdaq: OBAS), a leader in broadband digital video networking solutions, today announced
that it will show the latest enhancements to its video streaming platforms at the National
Association of Broadcasters (NAB) 2000, Sand Convention center, Las Vegas. Furthermore,
Optibase will host companies, which integrate its platforms for streaming media
applications: Cisco Systems' IP/TV streaming video solution,
MediaSite's Internet video navigation tool, and Digital Media
Solutions' mGen, a solution for web-based multimedia training.
At the show, Optibase will be distributing, free of charge, its
Streaming Media handbook, an introductory guide to streaming media technology and services
at the Optibase booth number I7118.
At NAB Optibase will be demonstrating:
- The MPEG ComMotion video streaming server, providing rich media distribution over IP and
ATM networks, for applications such as E-learning, Business TV and Corporate
Communications. The MPEG ComMotion offers web-based remote management of transmission
servers, Recasting capabilities as well as unicast and multicast of content over Intranets
and the broadband Intranet.
- Optibase will be showing its rack-mounted plug & play video streaming appliance
running over ComMotion Pro, designed to encode, multiplex, transcode and transmit
high-quality live (real-time) and pre-recorded (from file) video streams in real-time over
advanced digital networks. ComMotion Pro allows unlimited scalability as your needs
increase.
- Optibase will be using its streaming appliance to stream live content over an ATM
network based on Marconi's (formerly Fore Systems) ATM switch and interface cards as well
as over IP Router based networks. Using Adtec's (a provider of ad-insertion and
hospitality video networks) Soloist-2/Mirage appliance as a ComMotion Receiver, Optibase
is demonstrating live multicasting capabilities over an IP network.
- Launching its Linux based end point platform, Optibase will be demonstrating digital
video streaming playback using the Linux based VideoPlex XPress end point solution.
