Triss had been incredibly relieved to be rescued, but had also been a
little nervous to go back to the Intrepid. She wasn't certain if she
would be able to go back to being just the Counselor. She'd enjoyed
being an XO during her time on the Galileo, but she knew she'd just end
up going wherever the 'Fleet commander stationed her.
After they'd gotten to Deep Space Europa, Triss had more-or-less just
stayed in the quarters she'd been given. She'd been doing a great deal
of thinking about recent events starting just prior to their trip
between dimensions and ending at the present time. She'd come to the
conclusion that she'd have to speak with Cmdr Celchu about what had
happened with the Ambassador if she went back to the Intrepid. She
hadn't really liked what she'd done and she would just have to tell
Celchu that she wouldn't do anything like that again. Triss shuddered
just thinking about it. It had made her feel so dirty...like she was
invading someone else's mind.
Triss sighed and refocused her attention on the computer screen in
front of her. She'd been trying to write a letter to her parents for
the past hour or so, but she couldn't seem to get past the first three
sentences or so. "That's it," she thought. "I'm going to go
for a
walk around the station to clear my head." She cleared the computer
screen, fastened on her comm badge, and left her quarters.
Triss wandered around the Promenade for awhile, looking in the shops
and trying to find something interesting to wear. She was getting
tired of her uniform. She'd never liked Starfleet uniforms anyway and
she was *really* tired of wearing them now, since that's all she'd been
wearing since leaving the Intrepid all that time ago.
After about 2 hours of not finding anything, Triss began to get a bit
discouraged. Then she saw it, a little shop in an out-of-the way
corner that had some dresses that looked quite interesting through the
window. She was more pleased when she went inside the shop and got a
closer look. After a great deal of debating with herself over a couple
of different styles, Triss chose a dress that was a shade of green that
perfectly matched her eyes. She also found a pair of matching shoes,
so she paid the shopkeeper for the things and took them back to her
quarters. When she got there, she quickly sent a short letter to her
parents to let them know that she was alright, then she began to plan
what she could do that evening.
"Hmmmm..." she thought. "Steve an I haven't had an evening
alone in a
long time..." Triss smiled. She decided to plan a nice, quiet,
romantic dinner for the two of them. She sent off a quick message to
his quarters.
--Message--
Steve,
It's Triss. If you're not *too* busy, then I'd like you to stop by
tonight around 7. ::brief pause:: Wear something kind-of nice.
--End Message--
Then Triss got down to business planning the evening.
