The gel idea had puzzled her a bit, and she really wanted to know how it

worked, however Atlanta decided that her main priority was to get the ship's

sensors checked. She would let Davis deal with the gel, unless he needed her

assistance.

She stepped into the turbolift and Dach followed her.

"So, some sort of gel then?" Ta'ra remarked.

To which Atlanta mumbled '"Hmmm, must be" and stepped out of the

lift and

walked onto the bridge.

 She entered in her security code and asid "Computer scan the area

around

the ship, for 10km. Keep a lock on and notify of humanoid presence."

"There are five humanoids at a six kilometer radius."

"Moving towards the ship?" Atlanta asked.

"Negative, moving in a southernly direction.

"Set to alarm if any humanoids are dectected moving towards the

ship."



 She sat down on the floor against the console. Davis wasn't so bad after

all, he wasnt like the old captain, but she could get used to him, somehow.

Just as she was thinking about what she would do when she got back 'home',

she heard Ta'ra's voice.

"Dach to Jade"

"Yes"

"Just to let you know that the holo-phased cloaking device seems to be

working, I just need to make a few final ajustments. We'll engage shields

until just before entering the portal, then we'll gradually bring it on

line. We may have to compensate manually for any phase variance, but we

should be able to handle it."

"Right." Atlanta answered.

"One more thing, could you run a few simulations, if you're not too

busy,

just to make sure."

"That's fine. I'm finished here now. Atlanta out" Atlanta got up

from the

floor and made her way to the holodeck. She entered in the parameters,

programmed in the other crew members and stepped onto the holobridge. The

ship was set to impulse, heading towards the portal. As they reached 1km of

the portal, Atlanta disengaged shields.

"Activate holophased cloaking device. " there was a hum as it came

online.

She picked up the frequency of the portal. "Align frequencies"



She heard holo-Dach's voice behind her. "Picking up phase varience,

0.2"

Atlanta began to make reajustments."

"Readings are normal"

She continued with the simulation until they came out of the end of the

portal and seemingly were back in their own dimension.

"Computer take holo-phsed cloaking device off line and engage

holo-cloak"



"Jade to Dach"

"Dach here" she replied

"The simulation went well, I will run a few more just to be safe. Jade

out"
