Personal Log Stardate 239905.22
Atlanta sat down once again and began tapping into the PADD.
It was predictable and it happened. This ship is falling to pieces, although
we have repaired most of it, the crew need a lot of work. Ruckwood is taking
the stable, almost logical path, if somewhat naive, Dach is ready to explode
(or implode depending on whether she decides to let any of her aggression
out or not) and I want rid of the wolf.
Being cornered by a wolf is not a frightening thing in itself, however what
is frightening is the fact that she, he, it can read my every thought. It's a
violation of privacy and I resent it, not to mention the new promotion that
this 'civilian' received to ensign, when the rest of us have had to go
through Starfleet and endure rigorous examinations. Still, I suppose we
couldn't have a civilian as part of the crew. This way Davis has avoided a
potential security dilemma. One thing is certain, if the wolf attacks me
again, I will be forced to use my phaser on it. I will not have the safety of
the rest of the crew compromised by this, especially when we have hostile
entities outside the ship.
Ktryna and Ruckwood have been checking the cargo bays today and it would
seem that some of the outer cargo doors have been tampered with. That doesn't
surprise me. The natives may never have seen a ship such as this before and
will be forced to try to enter out of intrigue. I just hope that we can hold
them off until the suns align and we can make our way home, back to our own
dimension where we can be rid of this forced (if somewhat necessary) command.
I feel like a Bajoran trying to get rid of the Cardasians or a Marquis
attacking the Federation, but I'm not comfortable with this arrangement and
however much I try to give the impression that I am, to Davis and the others,
I am somewhat doubtful that it is working.
A noise came from her COMM screen and the EMH's face appeared on it. Atlanta
frowned, she was intent on ignoring Davis' command to check in with the
doctor every 6-8 hours. She just couldn't be bothered wasting her time.
"Yes, Doctor" she began.
"Ensign Jade.... I have received a report that you have a head injury
which you have not shown me, not to mention that your orders are to check in
with me every six to eight hours and you are now over three hours late. Its
bad enough that I have to chase up Ensign Dach without also having to hunt
for you as well."
"I'm fine," Atlanta said clearly annoyed whilst biting her lower
lip to prevent herself from verbally abusing the hologram.
"Still, I recommend that you come to see me, otherwise I will remove you
from duty." The Doctor replied quirkily.
"You will do no such thing." Atlanta snapped. "But I will come
to see you now, if that will allow me to get some peace."
Atlanta marched angrily over to the door and exited her room. She had never
been threatened by a hologram before. Just as she was turning the corner she
bumped into a body that was moving just as fast as she was.
"Dach!" she said in surprise as she helped her up from the floor.
"Jade" she replied acknowledging her presence. "What are you
doing up at this time?"
"I have strict orders to go and see the doctor. And then I'm going to do
a little holographic reprogramming."
"Need some help?" Dach asked, happy that someone else had realised
just how annoying the EMH was.
"Sure" Atlanta replied and they both began walking down the
hallway. "I was thinking that we could programme him to annoy Davis, so
that next time he will think twice before ordering us to report to sickbay
all the time."
"Maybe the doctor will suspend him from duty." Dach answered,
laughing.
"In our dreams"
