keep the Galileo from being ripped apart when the warp shell disrupted the

wormhole they had discivered. Looking over some last details he turned off

the monitor.::



Davis> +taps+ All hands this is LtCmdr Davis.  Please report to the

conference room immediately.



::He looked out the view port and heaved a heavy sigh.  He needed this crew.

They needed him.  He had a lot of trust to start earning.  Straightening his

shirt he headed to the conference room.::



=== SEVERAL MINUTES LATER ===



::He looked over at everyone as they took their seat. He knew this was a make

or break meeting with him.  The CEO  quickly pointed out how she felt about

the entire situation and the CSciO seem to wait on making a decision.  The

Cdt that found them had reservations but seemed happy to finally have someone

that had dealt with command before.::



Davis> I'll try to make this as to the point as I can.  Given that no form

of command exists due to the death of Cptn Gurmine and most of the crew and

seeing as I am the highest ranking officer, I'm going to assume command of

this vessel until such time we get back to our own dimension and find a

replacement. For first officver and the same reasons, I'm making Trissana the

XO.



Tar'a> ::almost challenging:: Question Cmdr.  How do we know that your

from our dimension?



Davis> ::meeting her steel gaze::  I believe Mr. Ruckwood can fill you in

on that. Mr. Ruckwood.



Ruckwood> ::turning to the CEO:: Dimensions or timelines have a unique

temporal frequency.  It's been reported that individuals or objects from

other timelines maintain that their original frequency. Based on my tests,

LtCmdr Davis, LtJg Moraine and Ktryna are all indeed from our timeline.



::Tar'a mulled it over and decided she would let it sink itself in before

saying anymore::



Davis> I know you've all lost a great deal and had had very little support

up until now.  I'm going to make it my job to get us back home but I need the

help and trust from everyone here if to succeed.



::He let the words linger a bit before continuing::



Davis> From what I've seen so far Tar'a and Mr. Ruckwood have the ship up

and running.  With some minor work here and there we should have us back to

full capacity or damn well near it. Now, Mr. Ruckwood, you are positive that

the stone/metal fixture will hold through space travel let alone dimensional

travel?



Ruckwood> I've run some simulations and it should hold just fine.



Davis> ::nods:: Good. I've uploaded all information on the portal and what

needs to be done for us to use it. Ktryna.



Ktryna> ::her eyes sweeping over everyone::  We have a 3 day period before

the portal receives the necessary energy from the suns to transport us back.



Tar'a> I've skimmed over the information and think Atlanta and I could

come up with something.



Davis> Make it so. Triss, I believe you had something?



Trissana> Yes, Cmdr.  I've looked over the medical reports since the EMH

has been activated. Given the conditions and circumstances, the crew needs

serious medical attention as soon as possible.



Davis> Agreed.  I'd like all members to go in for periodic checkups every

12 hours.  ::turns to the CEO::  Tar'a I want you to report every 6 to 8

hours.  Triss has informed me of the substance you are using to make it

through and frankly that worries me. I want to go home as much as the next

person but I need you clear headed and calm under pressure. Is that

understood?



Tar'a> ::with a slight grunt:: Aye, sir.



Davis> Ktryna. I'd like you to go through with Mr. Ruckwood and double

check the decks for anything.  I don't want to be dragging anything else back

along with us.



Ktryna> Yes, Cmdr.



::Davis let out a small sigh with a smile::



Davis> I know this is normally saved for less busy times but your Cptn did

have something ready to be handed out. ::slides a box onto the table:: Cdt

Dach, Cdt Ruckwood and Cdt Jade it is my honor to pass along the decision of

your former commander that you are promoted to the rank of Ens having proving

your abilities when called upon.  ::turn to Ktryna::  And to you Ktryna, I've

kept an eye on your studies and given your success in passing the Academy

tests, I promote you to the rank of Ens as well  ::opens the box to reveal

four individual full pips, taking them out carefully and pinning them on the

first three, then stopping at Ktryna::



Ktryna> ::smiling at seeing how the Cmdr would do the pinning, she changes

her outfit to resemble a SEC officer's uniform with a full pip::  I'll handle

the pinning sir ::she winks::



::Davis smiled as he looked over the crew finally feeling the pieces coming

together::

in my log about us using the portal.  That doesn't necessarily mean a true 36

hour real life period but it would be good to really start working on getting

us home. And let's not think those natives give up so easily;)>>
