::Davis' body felt like it was being ripped to the tiniest atom as they
struggled to hold themselves togther. The best way to describe it was a
transporter gone bad. His eyes burned and his lungs choked as he flailed
about, reaching for something solid to grab onto. Hell *he* didn't even feel
solid. His last thoughts were of him, Triss and Ktryna along with the gel on
board the Nharwek ship being engulfed by this red and black swirling portal.
His thoughts were suddenly halted as his body seemed to crash onto a sandy
surface, forcing the wanted air out of his lungs, coughing he looked over and
saw Triss and Ktryna trying their hardest to wipe away the nauseating effects
of the trip. He looked around for the gel and his face became worried as he
couldn't find any that might have landed. He quickly undid the latch on a
pouch he had fastened to his uniform. The gel inside was still safe.
Unfortunately that of the gel loose on the ship didn't survive.::
Davis> ::caling out to the rest of his team:: Triss....Ktryna...everyone
ok?
Triss> ::coughing out some sand that had made it's way into her lungs::
You could have made it a softer landing...
Ktryna> I should be fine once this nauseousness passes...
::Davis nodded and got up shakily. He surveyed his surroundings and found
the place to have two suns and very little plantlife which seemed clumped in
patches. There were few streams of water about.::
Davis> Ktryna, any immediate threat?
Ktryna> ::stretching her thoughts outward as she gets up:: I'm not
sensing anything in the vicinty that would cause us harm.
Davis> ::shielding his eyes from the sun he walked over to a stream of
water:: +taps+ Davis to Intrepid... ::static:: +taps+ Intrepid
respond...::static::
Triss> ::dusting herself:: Looks like we're definitely where no one has
gone before.
Davis> Maybe...::gets out his tricorder that seemed to have survived the
landing and scans the water:: Seems fit for drinking. ::kneels and scoops up
some to splash on his face occasionally cupping his hands to sip from::
Triss> ::walking over to the water:: I didn't mean this when I said I
needed a vacation.
Davis> ::smiling as he gets up from the stream:: Not my idea of paradise
either. Looks like we have our work cut out for us.

<<OOC: First I'd like to welcome everyone to the USS Galileo. This is
the first log of many that you'll be reading as we add our own spins as we go
along. Some of you know how this goes, for the others, any MAJOR plot
changes need to be sent to me personally and not the listserv. Be sure to
use the appropriate header when logging. I am a CO that likes quality in
logs and not necessarily quantity. If you feel you can log more than once a
week, I'd be happy to see them. Because the crew is smaller than most ships,
we have to work together more. I've created the Galileo website with ample
information to get in contact with others if you need help or want to just
talk. I'm not very intense as a CO. I appreciate honesty above all else. If
you have any questions or comments to make, I'd be more than happy to hear
them. ::chuckles:: I wanted this log to try and cover everything I could
think of so there wouldn't be much confusion as we start off. If i forgot
something I'l!
!
l let you know:) In the meantime, I ask everyone *again* to please visit the
Galileo website and review everything there so we all start off on the same
page.::

Sincerely,
LtCmdr Steven Davis
